Digital signage displays can be used for a multitude of purposes but if you think innovatively you could see customer engagement increase – and hopefully your sales as well.
Over in the US, JetBlue Airways (New York's hometown airline) has been using digital signs to help promote their new offerings, according to Digital Signage Today.
For example, the company has just launched a new nonstop service from Terminal 5 at JFK International to Curaçao and to raise awareness of the new route, it's set up an interactive digital window on a storefront in the Meatpacking District in New York.
People are encouraged to whisk themselves away to the Caribbean paradise through a series of different videos and pictures, so they can take the time to explore eight different local attractions. They are also encouraged to share selfies of themselves at the display on social media sites like Instagram using the hashtag #JetBlueGetaways. By sharing, they enter themselves into a competition to win a hotel and flight package to the island.
The ways that digital signs can be used are essentially limitless – all you have to do is come up with a great idea and see how the technology can be applied in order to turn your branding dream into a marketing reality.
Of course, it's not just advertising that these signs can be used for either. You can feature text messages and live updates, or pull in content from around the web by using a variety of different apps such as Twitter or Facebook.
